Worship in the Church

If I had the opportunity to start from scratch, what would be the ideal church?

First, I would strip away everything and begin with a blank slate. Then I would fill the slate which that which the New Testament explicitely states should be part of worship.

Ephesians 5:19-20 seems to indicate the following

Fellowhip ("Speaking to one another")
Singing ("in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, making melody in your hearts to the Lord")
Prayer ("always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the father")

Right away of course what do these terms mean and entail. Does singing refer to ccm choruses or Ron Hamilton ballads? The text does not say one way or the other-it is silent. Am I then allowed to sing anything I want? Yes, we are allowed to sing anything we want. Should we sing anything we want? No, we should not. How does this work?

The regulative principle must be the foremost guiding principle in establish order in the church. See Nos Sobrii for a few discussions of this topic.

Another topic is this distinction between 'high church' and what? that people are making. Statements like "I don't like high church". I don't think I know what that means.
